I LOVE my experience with My Heritage and there customer service. Some people are hating that Africa is showing up in their DNA, but unless a person is pure race.you might expect for it to show up.even if a tiny percentage. This helped me understand why 99.97% Somali on my maternal grandmother's side did not show in me!! I also learned why the Native American didn't show.even though my great, great grandfather was half Cherokee. That's when he explained the difference between Mitochondrial DNA and this test which is Autosomal DNA. I now understand why the East African (Somalia) didn't show eventhough it showed 99.97% on another test on my mom's side of my family. His name was Breck!! This man talked to me 30 minutes and 41 seconds!! I learned why certain DNA doesn't show up due to our gene pools. I had a very pleasant rep that helped me to understand, he answered all of my questions. I received my kit in a timely fashion, I sent it back on February 28th, got my results yesterday (March 28th)! I called to ask questions, my wait time was about 10-15 minutes due to the volume of calls they receive. Wow.I can't discredit anyone else's experience but mine was EXCELLENT. What are my options? I am absolutely sick about this and can't believe this could happen. MH deleted my tree without my permission and now they can't seem to restore it. I have been asking tech to do this for nearly two weeks. I'm a paid subscriber, I'm allowed to have many trees under 'Manage Trees.' It was NOT tech's decision to make! I want my WEB tree back, restored to where it was before they 'synced' it. I went back to 'Manage Trees' so that I could select my WEB tree as my default again and it was GONE! Tech deleted it without my permission.
I selected the newly synced GEDCOM version as the default and began poking around, only to learn that it did not sync properly, absolutely inaccurate, fields are incorrect, hundreds of photos lost their tags and profile cards lost their linked photographs. Then I had two trees under 'Manage Trees' my original WEB tree and this newly synced GEDCOM tree. I ended up down a rabbit hole, where Tech synced my on-line WEB tree with their Family Tree Builder to create a GEDCOM tree (e.g., supposedly a accurate synced version of my WEB tree).

Tech asked me to download and use their Family Tree Builder (big mistake). MH deleted my WEB tree without my permission and now can't restore it!īack in January I simply asked how I could manage duplicates I was finding on my MH on-line WEB tree.
